    Salmonella is a gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria. They are facultative anaerobes that can survive in the absence of oxygen. They are motile and non-spore forming.

    They are present in the human gut and excrete through feces. They transmit through sewage water contaminated with bacteria.

    • Vegetables and fruits that are irrigated with sewage water also responsible for the spread of disease. The sewage contaminations are due to pipe leakage and mixing of sewage water with the food.
    • Uncooked and raw food also spread and increases the risk of food poisoning in the population.
    • Spoil egg also spread food poisoning.
    • Unhealthy or diseased meat also spread the disease of food poisoning in the population.
    • Water that is contaminated with sewage water also spread the disease.
