    Enterobacteriaceae are the pathogens that are present in the intestinal tract and are the part of gut flora. these are gram negative bacteria, bacilli (rod shaped), fermenters and facultative anaerobes i.e. E.coli, salmonella, Citrobacter, proteus, shigella and many other species. they are involved in the urinary tract infections and some species can cause diarrhoea also.
