    acne is not as such a contagious disease like many viral and bacterial diseases such as flu. but it can spread from on person to another by rubbing infected body part like face to other person, sharing towels, sharing makeup or cosmetic brushes. popping of pimples can also be a factor for spread of acne or enhancing acne as microbes in debris can infect nearby skin pores.
