salmonella is the gram-negative bacteria that belong to the family of Enterobacteriaceae and cause the infection of the intestine. by using 2 virulence factors, salmonella enter in the body through a different route, safe itself from the phagocytosis and the complement system and then attach the mucosal surface of their intestine and make the surface rough. salmonella categorized under the acid-sensitive bacteria that cause the infection of GIT tract.
one way of the salmonella get protected from the stomach is through “food” like minced meat or through eggs white. it helps to increase the pH(temporary) of the surrounding liquid and allow the salmonella to survive in the stomach and then cause disease.
