Lps stands for lipopolysaccharides. It is the major outer most membrane component of bacteria (Gram negative bacteria). Lps consists of polysaccharides attached to carbohydrate lipid moiety (lipid A) in bacterial outer membrane. It helps in strong stimulation of innate immunity in eukaryotes.
