1. cell wall of archaea is composed of pseudopeptidoglycan and that of bacteria is composed of lipopolysaccharide or peptidoglycan.
2. archaea have ether-linked lipids in cell membrane and bacteria have ester linked lipids.
3. archaea contain methionine as first amino acid in protein and bacteria have formylmethionine.
