Yes, it is possible to get salmonella infection more than once. Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning and gastrointestinal illness. Once a person recovers from a salmonella infection, their body may develop some immunity to that specific strain of salmonella. However, there are many different strains of salmonella, and immunity to one strain does not necessarily protect against infection from another strain. Additionally, even if a person has developed immunity to a specific strain, they can still become infected with a different strain of salmonella. Therefore, it is possible for someone to experience multiple episodes of salmonella infection throughout their lifetime.
