yes, fluoride contains antibacterial activity. it is a toxic element that cause fluorosis to microorganisms. it prevent cavities in tooth by remineralization and repairing tooth decay. it also kills bacteria that can cause tooth cavities (i.e. streptococcus mutans) or gum diseases.
