there are various factors that can be reason of death due to salmonella:
age (older age or young children), weakened immune system, person suffering from some other diseases i.e. diabetes or AIDs, dehydration in body (excessive loss of fluid in body), if bacteria leave GIT tract and invade another body part: meningitis, osteomyelitis, septic shock and endocarditis.
