    Garlic contains the Allicin which is the active ingredient and has antibacterial effect. This ingredient is effective against e.coli and staphylococcus aureus. allicin contains sulfur amino acid group that target thiol containing enzymes. Allicin interferes with thiols that inactivates tge proteins in key microbial processes like RNA synthesis and acetyl-CoA formation.
