    salmonella can enter in eggs in several ways:

    1. through the contaminated eggshell. when eggshell is contaminated wit the faeces. as u already know, the major route of the transfer of the salmonella is the oral-faecal route.
    2. one strain of the salmonella i.e. salmonella enteritidis can present in the ovaries of the layer hen so they enter the eggs.
