    salmonella typhi is one of the strain of the salmonella that is present only in humans. salmonella shed through the urine/stool of the infected person.

    the strain of the salmonella i.e. salmonella typhi is spread through:

    by contact with the stool of the infected person

    through contaminated water(standing water) and food.
