    It doesn’t depend on a single factor.. it depends on the multiple factors like :

    improper cooked

    require a specific number of CFU of the salmonella to cause infection ( 100-1000)

    and last but not least is that either you are healthy or immunocompromised. if the person is immunocompromised and the food is salmonella contaminated then a small piece of the chicken would infect you.

    if any 1 of the condition fulfils that u got the infection of the salmonella even u can eat the whole darn

    symptoms appear in between the 12-72 hrs in the infected person
