The gut of many animals like chicken is of a harmful bacteria like salmonella which may lead to the infection of the intestinal tract . The presence of salmonella in the gut of chicken may lead to different problems like:

    food poisoning

    typhoid fever
    enteric fever
    gastroenteritis
    other illnesses

Chicken is a great source of proteins . Chicken meat has high proportion of  protein in it.

That’s what it must be ensured that the chicken is cooked at a favourable temperature to kill such microorganisms. Cook  chicken until the temperature is raised upto  165°F (74°C) so that all the  microorganisms can be completely killed .
