Spores of bacteria (endospores) are the small, spherical, dormant and non reproductive structures formed by bacteria under harsh conditions of environmant and nutrition i.e. when temperature and pH are not favorable to survive and when nutrition is less. These spores are resistant to harsh conditions. When favorable conditions come bacteria come back to vegetative state and reproduce. Many bacteria produce spores i.e. Bacillus and Clostridium species.
